What Is IHS With Training?

Individualized Home Supports with Training provides hands-on instruction and guidance in a person’s home or community setting. Unlike traditional care that focuses mainly on supervision or assistance, IHS with Training emphasizes teaching skills that foster independence and self-reliance.

Our trained staff works directly with each individual to develop and strengthen skills in areas such as:

  • Personal care routines (e.g., hygiene, dressing, and grooming)

  • Household management (e.g., cooking, cleaning, and laundry)

  • Money management and budgeting

  • Social interaction and relationship-building

  • Community navigation and participation

  • Health and safety awareness

Who Can Benefit From IHS With Training?

This service is designed for individuals who:

  • Live independently, with family, or in shared housing.

  • Need help developing skills for greater independence.

  • Have a disability, chronic condition, or other special needs.

  • Are enrolled in Medicaid programs or waivers that include IHS services.
